Netflix’s original Korean series “Squid Game” has captivated the world. Expectations for Season 2 are also high, with the series topping the list of contents in 82 out of 83 countries that Netflix serviced.

Hwang Dong-hyuk (Korean: 황동혁, Hanja: 黃東赫, born 1971) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter, best known for creating the survival drama Netflix series Squid Game.

“I wanted to write a story that was an allegory or fable about the modern capitalist society. As a survival game, “Squid Game” is an entertainment and human drama. The games in the movie are very simple and easy to understand. Therefore, viewers can focus on the characters without trying to interpret the rules.”
