Most notably, the “Chinese New Year” Air Jordan 5 Low boasts uppers that wear away with time. When the canvas portion is rubbed thin, a multicolored pattern is revealed, as teased in one of the up-close photos above. The predominantly sail-colored pair is then complemented by red accents implemented throughout, in addition to a black tongue.
In terms of branding, the Air Jordan 5 Low “CNY” features the signature Jumpman logo on the tongue, insole, and outsole, as well as Chinese New Year-specific insignias on the back of the tongue and on the heel.
Although official images have appeared, Nike has yet to announce the “Chinese New Year” Air Jordan 5 Low. Reports are suggesting, however, that the sneaker will release on January 23 for $215.
